Dave Chrenko - Guitars, Vocals . . . Here's what Dave has been up to since "The Bings"
Dave and Sheryl Chrenko tearing it up with Calvary Chapel's own "The Crazy Christians" at the Camarillo, California Street Fair (Summer 2001). Dave was part of the Los Angeles and Ventura County Christian music scene for over 20 years.
1987-89: Dave was a featured singer with J.J. Jackson & Headband. J.J.'s Soul hit "But, It's Alright" was Top 20 in 1967 and again in 1969. Here they are at a Los Angeles supper club on New Year's Eve 1988.

"Ken And Bob Company" KABC-AM, Talk Radio 79
From 1984-1990 Dave created show theme songs and specialty music for the #1 Morning Drive radio show in Southern California - the "Ken And Bob Company" on
KABC TalkRadio 790 in Los Angeles.
Dave entered a KABC Halloween song contest - which he won. The station wanted him to perform with his band at the Hollywood Palladium. Since Dave had performed all the parts himself - he had to decline. KABC was willing to hear a show theme Dave had recorded - and they loved it!
Thanks to KABC, Dave was heard by millions of listeners all over Southern California.

chat backstage after Tommy's performance. Dave and Tommy are both from the Morristown, New Jersey area.
In August 2019, "Tommy James & The Shondells" flew to Southern Calfornia to perform at the Ventura County Fair. Even in his 70s, Tommy James is still in fine voice - and is a true Rock 'n' Roll Showman.
Thanks to Sheryl's persistence, she and Dave got to hang out with Tommy & the band after the show. It also helped that Dave and The Shondells are all from the Morristown, New Jersey area, and that Dave had been in J.J. Jackson's band. Seems J.J. and Tommy were friends in the '60s. Small world.
Amazing
Colorizing
Since 2001, Dave & Sheryl Chrenko have operated "Amazing Colorizing". Dave's photo color work has been seen on The History Channel, and in a year-long exhibit at Canada's "Royal Alberta Museum". He created the promo material for the Grand Review", Washington, DC's giant 2015 gala and parade down Pennsylvania Avenue, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War.

A few years ago, QPOP RADIO was space-napped by alien look-alikes who landed in Fresno, California from a galaxy far away. You may have heard about it. Thankfully, the invaders coudn't play Classic Rock, and were soon found out. QPOP
was rescued from the space ship - and all is well.
QPOP RADIO is a hot Retro Rock band based in the Fresno, California area They play mighty music, mighty-well any place they're invited. So, invite 'em! They promise to arrive on time, wear clean shirts, and help you party like it's 1969.

Following The Bings, Don and Paul turned their focus on another favorite past-time - Motorcycle Racing. They left the world of professional music in the dust. So, for now, we're combining our former bandmates 'til we can build up their profiles.
Here's Paul Chaffee racing at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. Paul is #26, and rides in the "Old School Scrambles" racing group. Paul has taken 1st Place in his class.

Like Chris Ralles, Quint has had a very successful music career since leaving The Bings, both as an award-winning songwriter and as a member of popular Country Rock group, "Joshua Creek". The band is based not far from Provo, Utah's Rosewood Recording,
where, in the 1980 The Bings used to travel from Southern California to record.

Chris Ralles: Drummer Extraordinare . . . and a "Bing"
The Bings were blessed to have two fantastic drummers as bandmates during 1980-1983. Paul Chaffee is the best "beat" drummer I've ever played rock 'n' roll with . . . more on Paul later.
Chris Ralles is a "drummer's drummer". He had an innate ability to play exactly what I was hearing in my head - without ever having to explain it to him. His drumming is poetry in rhythm - and better yet, Chris is a wonderful person to work with. The Bings, being a Power Pop band, never came close to utilizing all of Chris' drum skills. But, Chris never overplayed to show what he was really capable of. We were a pro band, so Chris knew that WE knew talent when we heard it. There was no doubt that Chris was going places.
The Bings are proud to have been one of the stops along Chris' long and winding musical road that also includes:
Kenny Loggins
Jim Messina
Don Felder

SPECIAL GUEST GUITARIST
Michael Dowdle
Summer 1982: The new line-up of The Bings was in Provo laying down tracks at Rosewood Recording. Chris Ralles was now on drums and vocals, and Quint Randle was on rhythm guitar and vocals.
Producer, Guy Randle arranged for a local guitarist to join The Bings on two songs, "Hold On" and "Billboard". His name was Michael Dowdle. He created a totally flawless Eddie Van Halen-inspired solo for "Hold On" on the spot!
Speaking of Eddie Van Halen, during a radio interview, Eddie praised Michael Dawdle's guitar work - but more on that story at a future time.
